Psoriasis:

In India male to female vitiligo incidence ratio is almost equal 2.1:1, but females outnumber males in studies presumably because of social stigma and marital concerns. These reasons prompt women to seek early consultation. 54.5% of Vitiligo cases occur in first or second decade of life. This shows that the disease starts at a younger age. These numbers are similar for India as well as the West. 40 to 60 is yet another age group in which vitiligo cases surface.
